Magnet Maker 3D

Make it work in the real world

Prepare artwork that prints cleanly

Filled vector artwork, intentional holes, and clear color regions.

SVG describes vector shapes. A PNG placed inside an SVG is still a raster image; it does not provide the filled paths needed for a model. Use the image tracer or export genuine vectors from your design editor.

Use filled shapes

Convert text to outlines and live strokes to filled paths. Export simple, solid, opaque colors. Filled paths, compound paths, CSS fill classes, transformations, circles, ellipses, rectangles, and polygons are supported. Outlines represented as filled geometry work normally.

White is material

A white region is printed artwork. It is not automatically treated as background or a hole. Intentional holes should be represented by empty regions in compound paths, using an appropriate fill rule. Overlapping shapes are resolved in drawing order; their union defines the silhouette.

Scale the artwork, not the artboard

Empty margins are excluded. The artwork scales uniformly to fit the maximum width and height, preserving proportions. Filled area has no percentage cap. Scaling a finished 3MF later also scales the cavities, so choose the final dimensions before export.

Watch separate pieces and thin details

Disconnected islands become separate prints. The generator requires a valid magnet in each piece and adds no backing, bridges, borders, or reinforcement. Connect pieces deliberately in your vector editor when needed.

Unsupported features

Scripts, external resources, embedded images, masks, clipping paths, filters, gradients, transparency, live text and strokes, symbols, nested viewports, and elliptical arc path commands are rejected with guidance. Flatten or expand appearances in your vector editor. Convert arcs to cubic paths.

Trace images with care

The image workspace reduces the palette and traces filled regions into curves. Detail and smoothing can change small features. Border-background removal is optional and removes matching pixels connected to an image edge, preserving enclosed white artwork. Check the comparison, holes, separate pieces, and color count before accepting.

Make a magnet

A better print starts with the details.
